Cruel Jewel Rain Route

In case of Toad Strangler (torrential rains) on race day runners will be rerouted on forest roads. This is required by the Forest Service for the safety of the runners, the well being of the trails, and silt issues in mountain streams that are populated with trout. The 50 mile course (53 miles) will be a point to point race starting at Camp Morganton and ending at Amicalola State Park. The 100 mile course (106) will be an out and back course starting at Camp Morganton, going to Amicalola State Park, and returning to Camp Morganton.Runners will be required to run with reflective gear at all times and only receive aid in designated aid areas.
